Dear Parents/Guardians,
Each year, the Eighth Grade Class at Johnstown Middle School takes a field trip to Washington, D.C. The trip is planned to our national capital in an effort to help our students develop an understanding about the foundations of American democracy, the origins and functions of government, and the relationship of the United States to other nations and to world affairs.
Our past trips have been extremely successful and have proven to be a great learning experience for both the students and teachers involved. We are currently involved in the planning process for the May 19-22, 2025 trip. We are sure it will be equally successful and would like to have your child involved in this valuable experience.
If you are interested in having your child(ren) participate in this experience please plan to attend the mandatory informational parent meeting on August 22nd at 6:00pm in the Performing Arts Center. We will be discussing various aspects of the trip including price, registration procedures, itinerary, accommodations, fundraising and eligibility.
